SUnder an expulsion order since the end of July, Hassan Iquioussen intends to fight. He let it be known that he was challenging the decision of the Nord prefecture before the administrative court, which does not exempt him from leaving the territory without delay, the appeal being non-suspensive.
Since the announcement of his expulsion, voices have been raised to defend him. Twenty-six mosques in the North department signed a statement of support for the imam, ensuring that he had “always made remarks consistent with the republican pact” when he had given conferences within their walls. Nothing really surprising. Hassan Iquioussen’s reputation for fundamentalism has been established for more than ten years. The mosques that invited him are very likely to be on the same hard line…
