Guest of the Great Europe 1-CNews interview, Stanislas Guerini, Minister of Transformation and Public Service, expressed his disagreement with the various calls for civil disobedience, emanating from elected officials or union leaders, after the adoption in the National Assembly on immigration law.
At the microphone of Romain Desarbres, Stanislas Guerini, Minister of Transformation and Public Service, considers “unacceptable” the various calls for civil disobedience after the vote by the National Assembly on the immigration law. Indeed, the general secretary of the CGT, Sophie Binet, called on Thursday for “civil disobedience” in the face of the immigration law which calls into question, according to her, “all our republican principles”. The minister calls on those calling for civil disobedience to “run for office and win.”
“The parliamentarians voted for this law. They were elected with a mandate given by the people. When you are attached to democracy, you are attached to the application of the law. All those who have doubts about law enforcement can stand for election (…). I tell them to win the elections and then enforce the laws that are passed in the National Assembly,” continues Stanislas Guerini.

He calls for respect for the rule of law which is a “fundamental compass”. The revolt against the immigration law extended on Wednesday to the 32 departments led by the left, including Paris, which “will not apply” the tightening of the conditions for payment to foreigners of the personalized autonomy allowance (APA).
The minister also urges them to “run for elections. Some, like the mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, ran for elections and the voters clearly did not choose to give her a national mandate,” a- he concluded by making the last score, less than 2%, in the last presidential election.
