Wednesday, during an interview with “Figaro Magazine”, Emmanuel Macron did not rule out using 49.3 to pass the immigration bill. In particular, he responded unfavorably to certain Republican proposals. Words that made the right react.

The words of Emmanuel Macron in the Figaro Magazine Wednesday did not fail to react on the right. The Head of State returned to the riots, caused by the death of young Nahel, and expressed it clearly: no turn to the right. In particular, he responded unfavorably to certain Republican proposals and affirmed that France has always been a country of immigration. For Guilhem Carayon, president of the Young Republicans, the president is in full denial.

Giving the floor back to the French

“We, of course, deplore the fact that the President of the Republic brushes aside all our proposals on the return of order and more specifically on the question of migration policy”, underlines the politician at the microphone of Europe 1. The latter believes that the Head of State has not made the right diagnosis of what has happened in the country, the situation of insecurity and the riots. “Because even in his camp, even in the presidential majority, we had heard voices which had risen to support our solutions”, affirms Guilhem Carayon.

For him, “we must give the floor to the French on the subject”. “We need a referendum and the problem is that we were expecting a start and we had a totally powerless continuity from the President of the Republic on the subject”, concludes the president of the Young Republicans.
