Mohamed and Rahma Ben Dohhou, 78, have health issues. “You can’t see the little kids or anything. They live next door but i can’t go to them. The worst thing is that I’m sick and I can’t go to the doctor. I missed three cancer appointments. I’ve had it up to here“, said Rahma Ben Dohhou. She suffers from breast cancer.

Mohamed Ben Dohhou, the husband, has respiratory failure and claims thathe can’t walk. To help the retired couple stuck in their 10th floor apartment for 7 months, Abdelmadjid, the couple’s son, had to give up everything. Abdelmadjid was a professor of history and geography in Switzerland, specifies RTL. He had to resign to help his parents four months ago. “I left my job, I had to resign. I live on my savings and I help them concretely to do their shopping and to make medical appointments, when one is obliged to postpone them because of the elevator“, did he declare.
