In addition to the Viper Ranger, the Pictomancer arrives in FF14 for Dawntrail

The last few months have been busy for news about
Final Fantasy XIV with the announcement of the extension
Dawntrail. In total, 3 entire weekends allowed us to discover the continent that the Warrior of Light and his companions will travel through. All while revealing the next classes that players will be able to embody. And if the Viper Prowler was revealed in October, the Pictomancer will be the twentieth job in FF14.

With all the information now known, the final trailer for Dawntrail
is finally available. Nearly 6 minutes during which the continent of Tural is revealed, with its fauna, flora and inhabitants. If we can’t see the long-awaited graphics update, the Mamool Ja tribe presents itself. And it’s not just a new shape, since the premises have very different physical characteristics. Of course, the Heirs of the Seventh Dawn are all present, with Leveilleur twins who seem to have grown up.

The Pictomancer and the Viper Prowler are coming to FF14

Two new classes are making their debut for Dawntrail, two DPS with very different styles. The Viper Ranger evolves in melee, being able to lash out with two blades, or combine them to create a two-handed weapon. He relies primarily on his agility to fight and has many abilities that highlight this characteristic. He shares his equipment with the Ninja and the Monk, gearing his equipment towards critical hits.

For his part, the Pictomancer is a disciple of magic, therefore relying on intelligence. Its particularity is to be a hybrid between support and ranged attacker. He will therefore be able to use the Quick magicspells to strengthen his allies, but will not have access to Life
to bring players back from the dead. Focusing the surrounding ether to bring his works to life, his skills take time to cast.

But it’s not the Viper Ranger and the Pictomancer aren’t the only classes making their debut in FF14. A new restricted job comes to keep the Blue Mage company: the Trainer. This will be added later, and will therefore not be available from the launch of the extension. You will therefore have to be patient to learn more, even if new magic has been announced for the Blue Mage.

Tural, its environment and its cities

Obviously, Dawntrail is not limited to the arrival of new classes. A whole new series of quests will punctuate the expansion through new areas. The maximum level is increased to 100, two large cities will allow you to show off your style and purchase high-level equipment. Added to all this are new dungeons, raids and challenges that players will be able to explore. Suffice it to say that there is plenty to do, even for the most die-hard fans, with some new offerings at the Gold Saucer.

Additionally, female Hrothgars can now be played for those who dreamed of them. Enough to accompany Cosmic Exploration, content which will undoubtedly recall Island Bliss, but in space. New planets will be added with each update. Everything can be played solo, even if the content has above all been designed to progress as a group.

Finally, and since we have been following him for many years now, Hildibrand will make his return. The gentleman detective still needs the help of the Warrior of Light for his investigation. And what does it matter if we have accomplished the feat of creating the Manderville weapons, that is not what is likely to impress him. There will therefore be a lot to do before running out of content, especially since some of these new features will be accessible to players who have not purchased the expansion.
