In broad daylight – driver drives with 3.1 per mille street lamp

On Monday afternoon, a 31-year-old woman crashed into a street lamp in the Swiss Bodensee municipality of Rorschach, just a few kilometers from the Vorarlberg border. As it turned out, the lady had 3.1 per thousand alcohol in her blood.

A 31-year-old car driver was driving her car on a side road from Rorschach to Thal (both canton St. Gallen) shortly before 4 p.m. on Monday afternoon. At the level of the Wartensee plot, her car left the road on the right, ran into a green strip and then crashed so hard into a street lamp that it was knocked over. Fortunately, the driver was not injured in the accident. An alcohol test carried out by the St. Gallen canton police brought a result of 3.1 per mille. The driver’s license was taken from the 31-year-old on the spot. The property damage amounts to the equivalent of almost 10,000 euros.
