“[Whitney] stood with his back to the stairs and Johnny jumped on them,” Amber said on the witness stand, further claiming, “I immediately thought of Kate Moss and the stairs in my head. […] And I smacked him.” Amber “did [Johnny] beaten for the first time – really beaten. Right in the face.”

Amber remembers the alleged stair climb again
Moss and Depp split in 1997 after four years of dating and a rumored engagement, but later appeared together briefly at the Cannes Film Festival in May 1998. While the two never shied away from showing their affection for each other in public, their passion for each other reportedly erupted in heated arguments. Amber Heard claimed that in 2020 in Depp’s first trial against the British newspaper “The Sun”. In court, she made the alleged step public at the time: “I had heard a rumor that [Johnny] pushed his ex-girlfriend Kate Moss down the stairs.”
