Around 100 members of the left-wing scene marched to the local border crossing in the early afternoon before they were stopped by numerous police officers. Anti-fascists met Freedom The reason: A protest by the Freedom Youth Burgenland took place just 150 meters away. She no longer wants to accept the high number of illegal migrants taken in, it said in the political rally, to which around 60 Freedom supporters had appeared no serious arguments. This was ensured by numerous officials, including district forces from Oberpullendorf and the regional traffic department, the security service unit, police officers from the Burgenland operation unit and the so-called “rapid reaction forces”. “The police had the situation well under control, as we were able to separate the two demos from each other by means of cordons and officers. This prevented physical confrontations, ”reported police spokesman Helmut Marban.
