An employee of the vaccination center of Munster, in the Haut-Rhin, was “violently attacked” by three people. An investigation is underway

An employee of the vaccination center of Munster, in the Haut-Rhin, was “violently assaulted” this Friday, January 7 by three people, announced Saturday the prefecture of Haut-Rhin and the Regional Health Agency (ARS) of Grand East.

The prosecutor of the Republic of Colmar, Catherine Sorita-Minard, indicated to have opened Saturday an investigation of flagrance for “violence in assembly with weapon and with premeditation”.

The investigation was entrusted to the research section of the Colmar gendarmerie to “identify the attackers and their motivations,” she said. The facts occurred when the vaccination center closed at around 8 p.m., added the magistrate, according to which the victim was not in serious condition.

The prefect of Haut-Rhin and the director general of ARS Grand Est denounced “an unacceptable act”. “Nothing can justify such violence,” they stressed in a joint statement.

A psychological unit will be set up “if necessary”, they further indicated. According to them, the vaccination centers “are the subject of permanent attention” by the police. “This mobilization will continue,” they warned.
