Daughter of two Marseille doctors who retired in 1997 and 2020, whose joint office was located a few steps away, Aurore Baudoin-Haloche hides her weariness behind an impressive tone. With a patient base that displays nearly 1,500 names, it ensures that it largely exceeds the forty-five hours of weekly presence. “Under these conditions, you can no longer really be a family doctor, call people back, follow them after an operation, make home visits…”, she regrets.
On the wall, the young mother has pasted portraits of her daughter. “She is 2 years old and I don’t see her much…”, she lets go. On the screen of his computer, the list of consultations of the day grows constantly. On Mondays, “doctor Aurore”, as the regulars call her, welcomes patients without an appointment. At 9 am, fifteen have already registered at the computer terminal installed in the waiting room. Offering a service seven days a week, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. – officially, this is one of the principles of the medical space that Aurore Baudoin-Haloche and her associates opened in August 2020 on Boulevard de la Corderie (7and).
