France 2 is broadcasting, this Wednesday January 5 at 9 p.m., its brand new fiction, My turn. François-Xavier Demaison plays Félix de Ponte, the mayor of Chateauneuf-sur-Valone to whom everything succeeds, until the day when a newspaper article shatters his life. His shenanigans, his mistress, everything is revealed there. Rose, embodied by his wife Isabelle Gélinas, is devastated. Betrayed and humiliated, she decides to react. Her future ex-husband is about to be reelected … she is going to run against him, swearing to steal his precious town hall from him. But the city of Chateauneuf-sur-Valone does it really exist?
The answer is no ! In reality, it’s in Troyes that the new fiction of France 2 was shot last July. François-Xavier Demaison therefore plays the role of a certain Francois Baroin, mayor of the Aube prefecture for several years, and Isabelle Gélinas that of Michèle Laroque, the actress who has shared her life with the elected Republican since 2008. Any resemblance to reality is fortuitous.
