In Obertauern – Pizzera & Jaus defied the masses of snow

The wind was blowing heavily, it was freezing cold and snowing – this didn’t dampen the mood at the ski opening in Obertauern. The Austropop heroes Pizzera & Jaus thrilled almost 4,000 fans.

“Nothing at all.” With a broad grin, Paul Pizzera and Otto Jaus answered the question in advance of what the almost 4,000 fans could expect from their performance in Obertauern. The two Austropop greats had lied – that was clear after the first moments of their concert on Saturday evening. The duo had all the hits with them and created a hot atmosphere in deep winter conditions and strong winds! Countless helpers made the concert at the start of the new ski season possible. They shoveled the fresh snow from the open-air area until just before the start. “The crew ripped off their astral bottoms for us,” said Pizzera & Jaus appreciatively. For Mario Siedler, head of the tourism association, it was “super awesome snow conditions”. But: “The masses of fresh snow did pose some problems for us. But we can deal with that in Obertauern.”
