In Paris, free coaching to help entrepreneurs in distress

Illustrator for three years, Lucile is one of the thousands of entrepreneurs who have seen their activity slow down with the pandemic. “At the start of the crisis, it wasn’t necessarily the worst because, suddenly, I had a lot of time to make personal projects. » But the months pass, and Lucile worries about the lack of prospects.

The illustrator then decided to participate in the Paris Réactiv’Emploi operation. Launched in 2021 by the municipality, this operation allows entrepreneurs in difficulty to benefit from free coaching sessions to help them get their heads out of the water.

Lucile thus benefits from free sessions provided by the YOLO coaching firm. “We understand a little better what is driving us, then we look at how we will emerge”, she comments. Revitalized by this support, Lucile, whose testimony can be found on the YO siteLO, was able to bounce back and find a contract with a major publishing house.

Repositioning or conversion

On January 24, the City of Paris therefore launched the second edition of the Paris Réactiv’Emploi operation, with the aim of supporting Parisian entrepreneurs in cessation of activity or in great difficulty. As part of this initiative, seven organizations have been selected by the municipality to offer, free of charge, individualized coaching to business leaders, in order to help them implement a repositioning strategy or consider retraining.

“Last year, we observed three categories among the young people we support, notes Diane Baras, the director of YOLO. There were those who had just started and who were hit hard by the crisis. Others were already weakened and the crisis was almost an opportunity for them, because it brought these weaknesses to light. Finally, there were those whose activity was hit hard, in catering and events in particular. » Despite this air pocket, Diane Baras notes that the vast majority of participants “decided to hang on” and continue their activity.

“The Loneliness”

“In many cases, what leads to the liquidation of a company is the loneliness experienced by the manager”, is of the opinion Merry-Antoine Brouze, in charge of mission within 60,000 Rebonds. Also winner of the operation launched by the City of Paris, this association offers beneficiaries several coaching sessions, individual or collective. A godfather or godmother is assigned to each participant.
