In Ramingstein – rescue of crashed timber truck interrupted

A truck driver fell off a forest road in Lungau on Friday afternoon. While the driver was able to free himself, salvaging the means of transport was decidedly more delicate.

The vehicle loaded with wood overturned and remained lying on its side. The driver was able to free himself, but there were considerable problems with the recovery of the heavy vehicle. A company called in had to interrupt the recovery work on Friday evening, twelve men had tried their luck for three hours. The truck is provisionally secured against further slipping with a cable winch and grab hoist. Expired resources were tied up.
