In the city of Salzburg – a young alcoholic (18) ends up in the stream bed with his car

Shortly after midnight on Monday, an 18-year-old from Salzburg drove his car off the road on Moosstrasse in the city of Salzburg. The young, drunk man and his passenger were lucky. They landed the car upside down in a small stream.

The 18-year-old was driving his car on Moosstrasse towards the city of Salzburg. After a right-hand bend, the teenager left the road in wintry driving conditions and crashed the car into a stream bed. The driver and his 16-year-old passenger were able to leave the car, which had broken down on the roof, via the right rear door. Both remained uninjured. An alcohol test carried out on the driver involved in the accident showed a blood alcohol level of 1.2 per mille. The young man’s driver’s license was temporarily taken away. The car was recovered and towed away by the Salzburg fire department using a cable winch. As part of priority checks from Sunday, 8 p.m. to today, Monday, 2:30 a.m., the police in the city of Salzburg carried out 61 preliminary alcohol tests and one breathalyzer test. There were twelve traffic reports, and a vehicle was also taken to the Salzburg state government office to have a vehicle checked.
