Emergency braking prevented two trains from colliding on the Munich-Salzburg railway line. On Thursday evening, a Railjet towards Munich drove onto a track near Teisendorf (Berchtesgadener Land district) near Salzburg, where another Railjet was already waiting to continue towards Salzburg, as the Freilassing federal police announced on Friday. There were 150 passengers in the incoming train and 86 in the stationary train. No one was injured.
The train driver had made an emergency stop and the train had come to a standstill about 80 meters away from the waiting train. The railway line was closed for almost an hour.
