In the last home game – Ducks with a grandiose comeback victory

Salzburg Ducks were able to win the game against Telfs after being 0:21 behind. Quarterback Kris Denton with two touchdowns the match winner. Mini chance for the playoffs is still alive.

Sensational comeback! In the last home game of the first Austrian Football League season, Salzburg turned the game against the Telfs Patriots and won 32:28. As is often the case, the “ducks” slept through the beginning of the game. The guests from Tyrol were able to accommodate their first three ball possessions in the end zone – 0:21! A wake-up call for the hosts, even before the break, the Mozartstadters put the ball to 12:21 with Reuter and Poschacher. At the beginning of the second half, the Ducks offense really got going. After Reuter’s second touchdown, the Tyroleans wrote again, but quarterback Kris Denton made the decision himself with two runs into the end zone. In front of a raging full house, the “ducks” withstood the last wave of Telfs attacks and were the last Matchday still the mini chance for the play-offs. “It took us a while to find our rhythm, but then we played really well,” said Denton happily.
