In the local area – Young Afghan raced through Elixhausen at 108 km/h

Routine police checks in Elixhausen (Flachgau) alerted the officers to a speeder. A 23-year-old Afghan man with a probationary license was driving at more than 100 km/h in the local area. His reason for this was quite strange.

On the night of February 15th, police officers carried out speed measurements in the municipality of Elixhausen (Flachgau) on the Mattseer Landesstraße. Shortly after midnight, a small car was recorded traveling at 108 km/h in the local area. The officers immediately gave chase and stopped the vehicle a short time later for a driver and vehicle check. During the check, the police discovered that the driver, a 23-year-old Afghan national, only had a probationary driving license. Due to the blatant speeding, his driver’s license was temporarily revoked on site and he was prohibited from continuing to drive. Food should have been delivered. The person reported stated that he believed there was an 80 km/h limit and also mentioned stress because he was eating have to deliver.
