By announcing his opposition to the “Build Back Better” plan, Senator Joe Manchin puts a stop to the social ambitions of the American president. The Democratic left is screaming treason.
“So, Madam Vice-President, who is really the president of this country?” Is it Joe Biden or Joe Manchin? ” The excerpt, and this stinging question thrown at Kamala Harris during an interview, had made the rounds of the networks at the beginning of the weekend – especially because an assistant immediately tried to cut short the interview, claiming a connection unstable, to the tune of “Sorry, we can’t hear, bye!”
Harris nevertheless ended up retorting: “Come on, it’s Joe Biden. […] The reality is this. The tax credit for families with children, which will reduce child poverty by 50% […] Tackle, from the White House, the problem of maternal mortality of black women. Lower drug prices, so that people with diabetes don’t have to die because they don’t have the money in their pockets. This is what we are not doing! So I hear the frustration, but let’s not deny the impact of what we’re doing. ” All measures then still virtual, which were on the program of the vast reform plan called “Build Back Better”, bogged down in the Senate for months. And presumably buried for good two days later.
