In Tokyo, the Nikkei ends up 0.57%

April 12 (Reuters) – The Tokyo Stock Exchange ended slightly higher on Wednesday, helped by signs of rising consumer spending at big box stores and following comments from Warren Buffett who plans to increase his investment in the country.

The Nikkei index gained 0.57% to 28,082.70 points and the broader Topix gained 0.77% to 2,007.09 points.

(These data may still vary slightly).
