A 20-year-old man was taken into custody on Tuesday for the murder of a man near Tours on Christmas Eve.
A 20-year-old man was taken into custody on Tuesday for the murder of a man with a knife near Tours on Christmas Eve, the Tours public prosecutor announced. “After intense research and the carrying out of several searches, a 20-year-old man from La Riche, who is likely to be the author of the intentional homicide committed in La Riche on the night of December 24, 2021 , was arrested today at 4:45 pm ”, indicated by email the prosecutor of Tours Grégoire Dulin.
It was members of the Tours judicial police who arrested the suspect on the public highway in an industrial area of La Riche, a town of 10,000 inhabitants which adjoins Tours. “The autopsy of the victim will take place tomorrow morning (Wednesday, editor’s note) at the forensic institute in Tours,” said the prosecutor. The 23-year-old victim had been taken care of at the Alliance Saint-Cyr clinic, north of Tours, between 11:30 p.m. and midnight. She died shortly after arriving.
