The work of the five road maintenance departments in the state of Salzburg is now becoming much more visible. From now on, their employees are allowed to use blue lights on their cars in urgent cases. “In urgent and acute cases, such as after accidents in moving traffic, increased protective measures are simply needed, including for the employees of the road maintenance department. With the blue lights, the emergency vehicle is much more visible to everyone and therefore safer. But it also makes it easier to move forward more quickly in traffic jams,” explains State Transport Councilor Stefan Schnöll.
