Including five children – twelve injured in a collision on the western motorway

A 56-year-old Hungarian citizen caused a collision on the western motorway early Wednesday afternoon, in which twelve people were injured. In the municipality of Pucking, in the direction of Vienna, the man overlooked the fact that the cars in front of him had come to a standstill in the right lane and hit the rear of a 44-year-old from the Freistadt district. Her car was pushed into three other cars.

A serious traffic accident involving an 81-year-old in Pucking paralyzed the A1 in the direction of Vienna for an hour on Wednesday afternoon. Only shortly after the motorway became free again, there was another serious traffic accident not far from the first accident site. A total of six vehicles were involved. A vehicle was pushed into another car by a truck. The two accompanying children were trapped in the completely demolished car and had to be rescued by the fire brigade.

Five children injured
One of the children suffered serious injuries and was flown to the children’s hospital in Linz by rescue helicopter. Three other children involved, aged two to thirteen, were also taken to hospitals. A total of twelve people were injured in the accident.
