The Minister Delegate for Local Authorities and Rural Affairs, Dominique Faure, has announced that she wants to increase the allowances for mayors. A “necessary” measure but which would not be sufficient in view of the problems encountered according to Alain Emprin, mayor of Villaroger in Savoie.

Bigger issues to deal with

An indemnity with an “anecdotal dimension”
These claims are essential according to the mayor of Villaroger so that they reach the “fullness of their mandate”. Alain Emprin specifies that this allowance has an “anecdotal dimension” which will have no real impact on his decision to represent himself or not.
