Indiana Jones 4: at 1 hour and 46 minutes, did you listen to what Harrison Ford said?

Throwback to a fun little hidden nod at the end of “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull”, in a line spoken by Harrison Ford.

Have you always dreamed of following in the footsteps of Indiana Jones to discover the Ark of the Covenant, the Grail or the Cross of Coronado? While the most famous adventurer of the cinema will soon embark on the search for the Dial of Destiny (in cinemas June 28), he explores this evening the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull in the fourth opus of the saga, rebroadcast on M6.

In turn, let’s put on our archaeologist’s equipment and get ready to unearth the treasures that rest in Steven Spielberg’s feature film. Indeed, even more than its three predecessors, this film released in 2008 is full of hidden details, references and easter eggs of all kinds.

By being particularly attentive and knowing how to skillfully handle the “pause” button on your remote control, you will for example be able to see the Ark of the Covenant from the first film (easy to spot among the artefacts of Area 51, at the start of the film) , or still photographs with the effigy of Henry Jones Sr., Marcus, Sallah or Willie in the house of Indy.

The detail that will interest us here, however, is not visual but vocal, and is found at the end of the feature film. In Akator’s throne room, when Irina Spalko puts the crystal skull back in its place and the building begins to shake, Indiana Jones utters the following sentence: “That doesn’t mean anything to me.”

If these few words seem totally harmless to you in VF, know that in the original version, the adventurer exclaims: “I have a bad feeling about this.” (“I have a bad feeling.”) A replica that should normally bring back memories to Star Wars fans, since it can be heard in every episode of the famous saga.

In A new hopethe first feature film in the franchise directed by George Lucas in 1977, it was Harrison Ford (in the role of Han Solo) who was already declaiming the famous phrase when he found himself trapped with Luke and Leia in the bowels of the Dark Star.

The creator of Star Wars is also the screenwriter and producer of the first four Indiana Jones, this little wink between the two sagas seems logical, and it is far from being the only one.
