Xiaomi Redmi Watch 2 Lite at a glance
The Xiaomi Watch 2 Lite offers a lot of surprising sensors and features for its price – such a variety is otherwise only seen in significantly more expensive products. There are a few limitations here, however. But first about the equipment: On board are, among other things, GPS, a step counter, an ECG measurement, a pulse sensor, an SpO2 sensor (blood oxygen measurement) and a sleep analysis. In addition, the Xiaomi Watch 2 Lite is waterproof.
However, you should be careful when measuring. Step accuracy, for example, which we also rate in the test, is first class. Other measurements, for example the heart rate measurement, sometimes have to struggle with significantly different results. The watch also does not ideally recognize laps while swimming. But if you see these measurements as a gimmick anyway, you won’t be bothered – especially since other trackers in this class usually don’t have the sensors integrated at all.
The battery life is 11.7 days, and even with activated GPS, the runtime is only slightly reduced to a smooth 11 days.

“Already available for well under 100 euros, the Xiaomi Redmi Watch 2 Lite is, contrary to expectations, not only aimed at beginners. Its wide range of functions including blood oxygen measurement and sleep analysis is pleasing and only lacks individual tracking functions such as an ECG. The 1.55-inch The LC display reads content even in sunlight, but its brightness has to be regulated manually. Our testers were impressed by the accuracy of the step tracking, but at the same time the Redmi Watch 2 was sometimes far off the mark when swimming the lap. It is suitable for all areas of application So it’s not suitable, but as a classic fitness tracker, the China device doesn’t do much wrong. But if you’re looking for a full-fledged smartwatch, don’t let the name fool you.”
