He took advantage of a release to escape from prison. According to information from Europe 1, a detainee fled during an organized outing in a swimming pool in Aix-en-Provence. He was then picked up by a sedan which headed towards Marseille via the motorway.
According to police sources, this fugitive detainee is known for possession and transport of narcotics. An investigation has been opened. Last month, another inmate, imprisoned at Fleury-Mérogis, managed to escape during an organized outing at the Musée d’Orsay in Paris.
