Hansa spoils Regensburg’s league leadership
FC Ingolstadt is deep in the basement of the 2nd Bundesliga. The bottom of the table urgently needs points, but there is nothing to gain from the third from Paderborn. Jahn Regensburg, on the other hand, is in a brilliant position, but loses for the second time this season – which St. Pauli could take advantage of.
Jahn Regensburg – Hansa Rostock 2: 3 (1: 1)
Jahn Regensburg missed the leap to the top of the table in the 2nd Bundesliga. The Oberpfälzer were surprisingly defeated 2: 3 (1: 1) against newly promoted Hansa Rostock. With 25 points, SSV Jahn did not overtake the leaders FC St. Pauli (26 points). The game of Hamburg on Sunday against SV Sandhausen was canceled on Friday due to 18 corona cases with the opponent. Rostock now has 17 points on their account after their fifth win of the season and is in the middle of the table.

Rostock rigorously used the defensive weaknesses of Regensburg. The Jahn missed the revenge for the cup defeat eleven days earlier in the penalty shootout against the North Germans.
Fortuna Düsseldorf – Hannover 96 1: 1 (1: 0)
Fortuna Düsseldorf also missed the revenge for the cup at Hannover 96. The Rhinelander had to be content with a 1: 1 (1: 0) against the Lower Saxony and stand in the middle of the table on the spot. Christoph Klarer (6th) gave the hosts an early lead, Joker Florent Muslija equalized with a remarkable long-range shot (90th + 2). Hanover has been waiting for a win for six games, but the late point win serves as an encouragement. In the second round of the cup, Hannover had the upper hand 3-0.
The hosts got off to a dream start. After a corner from Khaled Narey, the Austrian U21 international Klarer headed the lead. But the joy didn’t last long. Andre Hoffmann and Sebastian Ernst from Düsseldorf clashed violently with their heads just five minutes later. The Fortuna central defender was taken off the field on the stretcher. The Rhinelander coped well with the shock. Marcel Sobottka missed the opportunity to score a second goal (17th). The guests came into play only slowly. Gael Ondoua had the best chance to equalize in the first half (25th). On the other hand, Felix Klaus almost increased (45th + 2). Hannover got stronger in the second round, but Narey initially had the best opportunity for Düsseldorf (55th). Shinta Appelkamp also missed the chance to make it 2-0 (68th). Then Muslija met late.
SC Paderborn – FC Ingolstadt 2: 1 (0: 0)
SC Paderborn has taken third place in the table. The Ostwestfalen won against bottom group FC Ingolstadt 2-1 (0-0). The newcomer from Bavaria still has only five points on the account and remains last. Sven Michel (56th) scored the relieving opening goal for the home side, who had to survive anxious moments in the second half. Goalkeeper Jannik Huth parried a controversial penalty from Stefan Kutschke (48th). Felix Platte (65.) made everything clear, Fatih Kaya (71.) only managed the connecting gate. The FCI conceded the third bankruptcy in a row.
For the SCP it was the second victory in a row, with which the Paderborn team initially overtook Schalke 04 (22 points) with 24 points. On Sunday (1.30 p.m. / Sky), however, the Royal Blues have the chance to take third place again in their home game against Darmstadt 98.
