A 55-year-old farmer was mixing liquid manure with water in the liquid manure pit on his farm in Kirchberg in Tyrol around 4 p.m. on Friday when the accident happened. To mix the manure with the water, the farmer used a liquid manure mixer. This was in operation when the farmer was in the pit. In the pit, the 55-year-old was hit by the device and injured his right leg. “Christopherus 4” in action After first aid at the scene of the accident by the rescue service, the injured farmer was flown to Innsbruck University Hospital by the “Christopherus 4” helicopter.
