It is not uncommon to see the different social networks draw their different ideas from the side of the competition. Either it’s about Snapchat, Facebook or TikTokall are inspired by each other to continue to offer the best possible experience to their many users.

Today, the famous Instagram platform is exploring the arrival of a brand new feature, although it is already known to Twitter regulars.

When Instagram is inspired by Twitter

The information comes to us directly from TechCrunch : like what has already been possible on Twitter for several years, Instagram is currently implementing a feature that will allow users to pin a post directly to their profile, i.e. just above their post wall.

To do this, you simply have to go to your page and select, from the three-point menu, the option “Pin to your profile”. Note that, for the moment at least, this new feature is still only in the test phase and is therefore not accessible to everyone. No date has been communicated as to its general deployment, even if it is likely that it will not waste too much time before pointing the tip of its nose.

Anyway, here is a novelty that could be interesting for those who would like to highlight content that is appreciated, but which would have gone down too low on their profile to be visible. Finally, if this option strongly reminds us of the Twitter pin system, remember that Instagram already allows the possibility of pinning Stories on the publication wall.
