From now on, all users Instagram will be able to download public Reels directly to their device.

Instagram finally lets you download Reels to your device
On November 22, the head of Instagram announced that the application now allows users around the world to download public Reels to their device, as reported to us by the site Tech Crunch. By clicking on the share button, they can now select the download option to save a reel to their smartphone.
Before this feature was rolled out, it was only possible to save Reels in the app for later viewing.
For information, Adam Mosseri clarified that the downloaded Reels will have an Instagram watermark with the author’s account name. Additionally, Reels containing licensed audio tracks will not have any audio once downloaded to your device.
If you are a content creator, please note that Instagram will give you the option of deactivating the option to download your Reels from the application settings.
