Focus Entertainment And New World Interactive launched in 2018 Insurgency: Sandstorm, a tactical first-person shooter. The title was then only available on PC, it was ported to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but the studios are launching a new version today.
Insurgency: Sandstorm finally arrives on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S with technical and graphical improvements. The title now runs in native 4K at 60 fps (except on Xbox Series S where you have to settle for 1080p), with HD textures, reduced loading times and even greater immersion on PS5 with haptic feedback and adaptive controller triggers DualSense.
The developers specify that the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions are playable in cross-gen with players on PS4 and Xbox One. If you already have Insurgency: Sandstorm on previous generation consoles, the update is free and the DLC purchased are retained. New World Interactive recalls in passing that the second DLC of Year 3 Pass will arrive soon.
