In a rather discreet way, Intel has just announced that it is no longer producing ARC A770 Limited Edition graphics cards, the most powerful model it has made.
Barely 8 months of marketing
Officially announced on September 27 and released at the same time as the ARC A750, ARC A770 8 GB and ARC A770 16 GB from its partners, on October 12, 2022, the Limited Editions were a kind of response to NVIDIA’s Founders Edition .
Intel has only ever produced two versions of its Limited Edition: one for the ARC A750 8 GB model and one for the ARC A770 16 GB model. as elegant as possible, with perfect finishes.
We were only able to test the Limited Edition in the ARC A750 version, but the fact is that the build quality is exemplary. In France however, the ARC A770 LE was never widely distributed. On this model, Intel has decided to leave the field open to its partners.
Remain the partners of the ARC A770 16 GB
Relatively discreet therefore, the end of production of this ARC A770 LE is relayed, in particular, by our colleagues from VideoCardzbut the information could not be more official, confirmed by a Product Change Notification.
This type of document reports, at Intel, a change in production, and in this case, it is to announce the end of production on June 20, 2023. It is no longer possible to order nor to have the ARC A770 LE delivered from Intel. The card will remain available as long as wholesaler and reseller stocks follow.
Note that Intel was one of the few manufacturers to offer the ARC A770 model with 16 GB of video memory. The end of this Limited Edition means that there are only products from ACER (Predator Bifrost) and Gunnir (Photon) left for anyone who wants such a configuration.
Finally, it is worth pointing out that Intel has not issued any Product Change Notification for the other Limited Edition it produces. The ARC A750 LE therefore remains relevant for the American company.
