She is normally in charge of Telematin with Damien Thévenot, but last night, Saturday February 17, viewers were surprised to see her in place of Laurent Delahousse. Normally, it is Thomas Sotto who replaces the presenter with the inimitable brushing, so it was all the more surprising to find Maya Lauqué on the set of the newspaper. Since the start of her career, the journalist has been more accustomed to duets, like the one she did on the iTélé channel with Aymeric Caron, or the few shows she did with Thomas Hugues, Nicolas Demorand, or even Julian Bugier. Even if this is the first time that we see Maya Lauqué at the presentation of the 8 p.m. news, it was not yesterday that her career began. Indeed, her passion for the media led her to write for the daily newspaper Sud Ouest, then for various magazines during her studies. And then everything came together. After spending two years at iTélé, she became the official face of the Forum de l’info, then a recurring joker on Canal+ news before presenting ça se dispute, La Grande Édition, and La Quotidienne from 2013 to 2021. Since then, she present Telematin every week, from Friday to Sunday.
