Lestat, c’est moi – apparently Sam Reid is allowed to say that. He is said to have landed the role in the “Interview with a Vampire” series.

The planned adaptation of the series of the novel “Interview with a Vampire” by Anne Rice has found its Lestat de Lioncourt. According to the US site “Variety” the Australian actor Sebastian “Sam” Reid (34) will slip into the role of the diabolical bloodsucker. In the 1994 film adaptation of the same name, Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise (59) embodied Lestat and impressively proved that the villain was bought from him.

It is still unclear who will play the role of the second main character named Louis de Pointe du Lac. Brad Pitt (57) also featured prominently in the film. The first season of the “Interview with a Vampire” series, which was commissioned by AMC, is planned for the coming year. Rolin Jones (48) will act as screenwriter, showrunner and producer in one person.
