Intrusion into a high school in Angoulême: an investigation is open

This Thursday, at the Marguerite-de-Valois high school, in Angoulême, two individuals entered the establishment with their faces masked. They attacked two people, including a teacher, without serious consequences, in the toilets. Significant resources were deployed with police officers, firefighters, a listening cell and imposed confinement. An investigation is open.

Apparently wearing a surgical mask, with a hood over their head, two people appeared mid-morning Thursday at the Marguerite-de-Valois high school in Angoulême. It is around 10 a.m., the attack takes place in the toilets during intercourse.

These intruders dispersed tear gas in the corridors of the establishment, which inconvenienced a student. A teacher, whose courage the authorities have praised, intervenes and intervenes. She received a blow to the face during this altercation.

An open investigation

The student and the teacher are slightly injured. The two individuals managed to escape. This intrusion still triggered the implementation of the special security plan. A procedure which provides for “the confinement of all staff and adolescents present in the establishment”, explains the Charente prefecture. During the time of checks and securing the premises, the police had to ensure that the duo behind the incident was no longer within the walls.

Once the doubt was cleared, classes and all activities were able to resume normally this Thursday afternoon. An investigation is open. The two attackers are wanted. It is also a question of understanding the motivations which generated this violent intrusion into this high school.
