They create fake child profiles on Facebook, often using unearthed photos of their own childhood. Very quickly, friend requests rained down from men of very different ages and social backgrounds, with ambiguous messages – they did not hesitate to send photos of their sex.
On the other side of the screen, these pedophile trackers thus maintain dozens of similar conversations. They methodically save these messages, before transmitting these files to justice.
Three years after the emergence of these collectives in France, how does justice consider these reports issued by citizens? Do they lead to convictions? Who are the members of these groups?
