iOS 15.3 is here: the leak of your data on Safari is normally contained

Since Wednesday evening, Apple has started rolling out iOS 15.3. No major changes to be expected for your iPhone or iPad in iPadOS 15.3 version, but security patches, including the one concerning data leakage on Safari.

Barely two weeks after rolling out iOS 15.2.1 which fixed a few bugs, Apple is already rolling out iOS 15.3 and iPadOS 15.3, its tablet version, with some bug fixes and security updates. Since Wednesday evening, it is therefore possible to update your iPhone, iPod or iPad from the Settings / General / Software Update section, if you have not automated the updates.

iOS 15.3 does not bring major changes. Many new features already hoped for in iOS 15.2 are still not there. But it fixes in particular the preview bug on the Safari browser and the possibility for a few malicious people to access your browsing history, as well as your Google identifiers.

This patch is valid for Safari on iPhone, iPad, iPod, but also on Macs with the deployment of macOS 12.2.

In total, a dozen security patches will be applied to your devices to resolve email, browsing and other security vulnerabilities. One of them also concerns HomeKit and compatible surveillance cameras in the Home application.

Now, the refresh of the cameras becomes more fluid and thus fixes a display bug. When leaving a live stream and returning to it, an old static image appeared with a “Now” label.

And also…

In the app Podcastsyou will now see a message saying “ You caught it all” rather than “No last episodesin your library. As on the Apple Watch for the monthBlack Unitya wallpaper black, green and red is available for Mac and iPhone.

If you have configured the novelty Legatee contact (in your iCloud ID/Password and Security), your contact who will be able to access your account after your death will also be able to download the data stored there. Your HomePod also benefits from fixes for its performance and stability to be installed from the M appHome/Home/Home Settings/Software Update.
