A new iOS 17.1.1 update could land as early as this week.

A few days ago, Apple deployed a brand new version of its iOS ecosystem, version 17.1. If this version corrected various more or less annoying bugs, affecting (among others) the recent iPhone 15, other malfunctions have recently been brought to light. This is why an intermediate update, called iOS 17.1.1, could be launched this week.

iOS 17.1.1 the chef’s surprise (update)?

Because yes, since its launch, we have to admit that the iPhone 15 is not free from problems and other sometimes unexpected bugs. Also, the upcoming iOS 17.1.1 update could correct certain problems related to the Wi-Fi connection, but also correct a surprising bug that affects some iPhones at night.

According to some, this new fix could also come to the aid of iPhone 15 owners, who also own a BMW car. Indeed, wireless charging on board the German group’s vehicles would tend to fry the NFC chip of the iPhone…

A probable launch by mid-November

Currently, it is impossible to know the deployment date of this iOS 17.1.1 update. According to MacRumors, the iOS 17.2 version is still in the beta phase, it could arrive sometime next month. Also, the intermediate update from Apple could well arrive in the next 15 days.

Remember in passing that it is strongly recommended not to install the iOS 17.2 beta on an iPhone powered by Free Mobile. A bug causing it to be impossible to send SMS messages with an iPhone would indeed be present in the beta in question.

iPhone owners aren’t the only ones watching for the availability of software updates, as a watchOS update containing a fix for excessive battery drain on Apple’s watch is also eagerly awaited .

Apple iPhone 15

  • A design that gains in elegance
  • The disappearing notch
  • Ultra bright screen

The iPhone 15 does better than its predecessor, and on every level! Equipped with a superb, very bright screen (but still 60 Hz), finally free of its notch, it is already establishing itself as a wonderful traveling companion for years to come.

More versatile than ever in photography, thanks to its new sensor offering 2x digital zoom which was sorely lacking in previous models, it clearly overshadows the iPhone 15 Pro. However, keep in mind that autonomy is a real stone in the shoe of this model, which makes us prefer the iPhone 15 Plus this year. Despite everything, we appreciate the move to USB-C, even if the USB 2.0 standard is far too dated.

The fact remains that Apple is making all the right choices this year to bring its “standard” range up to speed, where the Pro models tended to take too big a lead in terms of design as well as in terms of performance.
