iPhone 12: So far, this is known about the new Apple smartphone

Apple has again invited to a keynote and is expected to present the new iPhone 12. That has already leaked beforehand.

On Tuesday, October 13th, 2020, it's that time again. Apple has invited journalists from all over the world to a virtual keynote and will then most likely introduce the new iPhone 12. If you believe the speculation that has been circulating for weeks, the tech manufacturer from Cupertino will present a total of four new smartphone models: an iPhone Mini (5.4 inches), an iPhone 12, an iPhone 12 Pro (each 6.1 inches) and a iPhone 12 Pro Max (6.7 inches).

In terms of price, the new smartphones should range between approx. 550 euros for the iPhone Mini with the lowest storage space and around 1,600 euros for the iPhone 12 Pro Max with 512 gigabytes. Great technical innovations, however, are not expected. Faster processors and improved cameras should, however, increase the performance compared to the current models.

Does the design remind of the iPhone 5?

The design should also differ only marginally from the current iPhone 11. Only the more expensive Pro versions should have rounded cases with flatter stainless steel edges, which would mean a return to the well-known look of the iPhone series 4 and 5.

Rumor has it that the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max will also have three camera lenses installed – just like the iPhone 11 – but only two on the iPhone Mini. Only during the keynote will it be announced when the new iPhones will be available. Experts are counting on October 16 as the pre-order date, but delivery will likely take some time until November.
