Anyone who still didn’t really believe in Apple’s unusual screen design of the iPhone 14 Pro will now be taught otherwise. The first pictures of the front glasses confirm previous reports and reveal the whole truth.

Apple

The rumor mill has been talking about this for weeks, now it seems first image of a real component to actually confirm the predictions. The interesting photo shows all front glasses of the four models of the iPhone 14 (Source: Weibo via @SaranByte on Twitter). What can you see on it?

In fact, Apple does not use the notch on the Pro models (upper display notch), instead a two-part punch-hole design is used – two openings (circular and pill-shaped) provide space for the front camera and Face ID sensors. With the two standard models, however, nothing changes, so the notch of the iPhone 13 is retained. The Pro models also have slightly thinner bezels and the aspect ratio is higher – 19.5 to 9 instead of 20 to 9.

As in these concept pictures it comes in the end:

What the picture also underlines is the already rumored omission of the mini model. In addition, there is now an iPhone 14 Max. So a standard model with a larger 6.7-inch display. The whole truth is now on the table: Even if the basic shape of the new iPhone 14 does not change much, the model range is still being extensively revised by Apple. One size is completely eliminated and the difference between the Pro and standard models is visibly greater again.

Can you believe the picture?

Only the question of the eternal skeptics remains at the end: How credible is the picture shown at all? Of course, an absolute confirmation can only be made with Apple’s presentation in September, but such leaks have appeared in the past and later turned out to be correct. There were such precise images of front glasses in the run-up to the iPhone 13. Ergo: Even if a little skepticism never hurts, in our opinion the probability of the authenticity of the photo is quite high. In short: Let’s settle for the somewhat unusual front design of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
