Apple’s new iPad Pro series and the new MacBook Pro models support the Wi-Fi 6E standard. The iPhone 14, on the other hand, “only” connects to the Wi-Fi 6 standard. According to analysts, the iPhone 15 expected for autumn 2023 should catch up with the latest Mac and iPad generation and support Wi-Fi 6E.
However, it is unclear whether this will apply to all models in the iPhone 15 series. Rumor has it that Apple is again planning four smartphones. While the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro have a 6.1-inch display, the iPhone 15 Max and iPhone 15 Pro Max (Ultra) will have a 6.7-inch touchscreen.
It is quite possible that Apple will reserve the fast 6E standard for the two Pro models, because the two top models will most likely stand out from the basic models with additional exclusive features.
Wi-Fi 6E not only enables faster transfer rates, which were also predicted for the iPhone 14. While Wi-Fi 6 uses the 2.4 and 5 gigahertz bands, Wi-Fi 6E adds the 6 gigahertz band.
