iPhone SE and Mac Studio: how to follow the first Apple keynote of 2022 live?

Apple is set to hold its first conference of 2022, at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8. What to expect? Can we watch it live? All the answers to your questions.

In 2022, Apple is back to school a little earlier than usual. Accustomed to waiting until the end of March or April, or even to announce nothing in the spring, the Californian brand has this time chosen the date of March 8 to unveil its first novelties of the year.

It is at 7 p.m. that Apple will start broadcasting its event, presumably recorded upstream. It will be broadcast on several channels, including YouTube. Throughout the evening, Numerama will analyze the manufacturer’s announcements for you.

Where to watch the Apple keynote?

  • When ? From 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2022.
  • Where ? On the Apple site or via YouTube or Twitter.

To watch the event live, the easiest way is to go to the Apple site. The brand’s website will offer you to watch the keynote, just like the application AppleTV available on iOS, macOS and tvOS.

If you want a more classic platform, the two easiest choices are Youtube and Twitter. Apple has become accustomed to broadcasting its events live on these platforms, in order to extend their visibility. Again, meet around 6:55 p.m. for the start of the broadcast.

If your English is average, know that Apple subtitles some of its events since the start of the pandemic. It is therefore possible that you can follow this one with a French translation. At last, Numerama will offer you a live-tweet in French.

All expected announcements

A few hours before the start of the conference, we are beginning to know several things about the content of the March 8 keynote. Among the almost certain announcements, there are in particular:

  • A new iPhone SE with the iPhone 13 chip, for 5G compatibility.
  • A new iPad Air with the M1 chip from Macs and iPad Pro.
  • The release of new updates, including iOS 15.4 with support for Face ID with a mask.
  • Macs (see next paragraph).

Other new features could appear during the March 8 keynote, such as:

  • A green iPhone 13, attempting to replicate the success of last year’s purple iPhone 12 (according to YouTuber Luke Miani).
  • The launch of Apple Music Classical, dedicated to classical music.
  • The Mac Studio, a desktop computer between the Mac mini and the Mac Pro, with an M1 Max chip.
  • An Apple screen dedicated to the general public, with an Apple Silicon chip inside.
  • A new entry-level MacBook Pro, with an M2 chip.
  • New accessories.

In this second list, there are bound to be products that will be announced on March 8. To find out which ones, you will have to watch the conference at 7 p.m.… or wait for the articles and videos from Numerama in the process.
