(CercleFinance.com) – Ipsen announces that its Dysport has received a positive opinion from European authorities in the management of urinary incontinence in adults with neurological detrusor overactivity due to multiple sclerosis or spinal cord injury.
This positive opinion now allows the health authorities of each European country to grant national marketing authorizations. In addition, Ipsen says it is currently in the process of obtaining approvals outside the European Union.
This application for authorization was based on data from the CONTENT phase III clinical program, which showed that Dysport reduced incontinence episodes, detrusor pressure and increased bladder capacity compared to placebo.
