Iran’s Revolutionary Guards accused Israel of killing one of their commanders in a strike in Syria on Monday and vowed to avenge his death. The Al-Quds Force has been on the list of “foreign terrorist organizations” the United States. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (OSDH), which has a vast network of sources in Syria, reported Israeli strikes on positions of Iranian groups and Hezbollah in the neighborhood of Sayeda Zeinab, at a ten kilometers from Damascus.
