Released in September 2020, Genshin Impact is an action RPG game developed by miHoYo studio. The title is currently available on PC, smartphones (iOS, Android), PS4 and PS5. If you want to change platform in order to enjoy the adventure on another medium, you should know if Genshin Impact is cross-save feature also called cross-progression. Moreover, is it available under conditions?
Genshin Impact, the cross-save available?
First of all, remember that the so-called “cross-save” feature, also called cross-progression, allows players to recover their save(s) from a very specific platform in order to import them into another version of a game. This then allows you to keep your progress intact and not lose your advancement. A multitude of games support cross-saving, such as Stardew Valley or even of Destiny 2to cite just two examples.
But is this the case with Genshin Impact? Genshin Impact is well cross-save. This feature was introduced in the year 2021, especially through the 2.0 update.
But there is some parameters to take into account to take advantage of the cross-save on Genshin Impact. If you want to continue your adventure on PC or smartphones, via a PS4/PS5 backup, the email created and saved on your PSN profile must not already be associated with a miHoYo account. As for the reverse manipulation, i.e. going from PC or smartphones to PlayStation consoles, this can be a little more disturbing: you must not have previously launched the game for the first time on PS4 or on PS5.
Genshin Impact is available on PC, PS4, PS5 and iOS and Android devices. The Switch version is still as discreet as ever, while nothing is planned on Xbox. Also note that you can collect some bonuses thanks to the exchange codes.
