Is Infinity War: Avengers 5 hot at Marvel?

Infinity War is broadcast on TF1, the opportunity to ask the question: when will the Avengers return to the cinema?

Since the planetary box of Avengers Endgame, released on April 24, 2019, the iconic superhero team has been dispersed. The Marvel Cinematic Universe has flown into a new phase under the sign of the multiverse.

Since then, the House of Ideas has entered a new era since the release of Black Widow in July 2021. New superheroes have appeared such as Shang-Chi or The Eternals, Spider-Man No Way Home has opened the door to universes parallels, and Doctor Strange 2 is also preparing to step into the breach on May 4.

This year, we are still waiting for Thor Love and Thunder on July 13 and Black Panther Wakanda Forever on November 9. On the other hand, no new Avengers on the horizon. This will not be the case either in 2023 given the Marvel calendar.

Ant-Man Quantumania will land on February 15, 2023, followed by Guardians of the Galaxy 3 on May 3 and The Marvels on July 26. Four other Marvel films are then planned in 2024 but it is not yet known which ones.

Is it possible that a 5th part of the Avengers could see the light of day in 2024? According to Marvel honcho Kevin Feige, the studio is giving itself time before reforming a new team of superheroes.

“I think we want there to be a reasonable amount of time to start a new saga. Like in phase 1, we need to build this adventure little by little before we start bringing everyone together”he said at the microphone of Collider in August 2021.

With the slew of new heroes and the possibilities offered by the multiverse, the creation of a whole new team of Avengers will surely arrive. However, do not expect to see such a huge project before the year 2025 at least.

TOWARDS A NEW ERA OF THE MCU?

However, since the MCU is in the midst of a transition phase, it is not excluded that several teams of superheroes could be put in place.

According to rumors, discussions at Marvel would revolve around a main team of Avengers led by Sam Wilson, the new Captain America. A second team would be led by Doctor Strange.

But what common enemy will these new Avengers have to face after Thanos the Mad Titan? The next big villain is rumored to be Kang the Conqueror, teased at the end of the Loki series. A priori, he will be present in Ant-Man 3 in the guise of Jonathan Majors.

Also, still in Loki, actress Gugu Mbatha-Raw plays Judge Ravonna Lexus Renslayer. In the Marvel comics universe, she is in love with Kang the Conqueror. Everything is falling into place little by little.

The character first appeared in 1964 under the pen of Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. Kang does not possess any superpowers; he is an intellectual genius, a true scholar with an in-depth knowledge of history. He is also an outstanding physicist who specialized in time travel.

Real name Nathaniel Richards, he was born in the 31st century on Earth-6311 (or “Other-Earth”), an alternate dimension to Earth-616, the standard Marvel reality.

In the meantime, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will surely answer a few questions on May 4!
