Is Snow White’s queen Rapunzel’s villain? This Disney theory holds up!

Have you seen the two Disney animated films? But have you noticed this incredible link between “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” and “Rapunzel”? We’ll explain!

Did Mufasa himself start the drought in The Lion King? Are the carpet merchant we see at the beginning of Aladdin and the Genie the same person? Are Anna and Elsa Tarzan’s big sisters?

Disney studio fans have always had fun enriching their favorite films by imagining amusing theories about them, or by weaving disturbing connections between characters who have – a priori – no connection with each other. .

Recently, on his Instagram account, the man named Ivan Mars (which presents itself as “Movie Detective”) thus raised a very strange link between Mother Gothel, Rapunzel’s devious stepmother who keeps the latter prisoner at the top of her tower, and the evil Queen from Snow White.

As Ivan explains in his video, these two antagonists are obsessed with their physical appearance. While Snow White’s queen constantly consults her magic mirror to verify that she is indeed the most beautiful in the kingdom, Gothel seeks at all costs to preserve her youth by cultivating the petals of a magic flower (whose powers will be then transmitted to Rapunzel’s long hair).

But could it be that the two villains are actually the same person?

Are Gothel and the Evil Queen the same person?

Indeed, as Ivan’s Instagram post reminds us, the Queen of Snow White (transformed into a witch at the end of the film) falls from a cliff. However, it is precisely at the bottom of a cliff that Gothel discovers the magic flower for the first time.

Not to mention the fact that the two hooded old ladies have a relatively similar appearance, and that both films are adaptations of Grimm’s fairy tales, set in roughly the same region of Germany.

To complete his theory, Ivan went so far as to note the presence of a particularly disturbing little detail, in the tower where Gothel raised Rapunzel. On one of the pillars of the room, we can actually see an apple, disconcertingly resembling the one that the Queen from Snow White used to poison the princess.

What do you think of this astonishing theory? Do you think Gothel and the Evil Queen are the same person?
