Superintendent Franck Sharko, 45, a cop described as gruff and lonely, is inseparable from his daughter Eugenie. His partner Lucie Hennebelle, ten years his junior, has just joined his team. A dark and violent universe

The six-episode miniseries will be very faithful to the writings of Franck Thilliez. The police duo will investigate the chilling, even nightmarish world of mental manipulation and neuroscience when five corpses are found horribly mutilated. A dark story in which children mysteriously disappear while an old film from the 1960s provokes strange and dangerous behavior in those who watch it. This violent and murky context is recurrent in the novelist. His characters are always complex and fiction is no exception to the rule.

In order to blend into the skin of the hero, Vincent Elbaz did not hesitate to lose ten kilos and to undergo physical training. “When I started to work on the character, I said to myself that I had to present my version but that the author and his readers had to be able to recognize it. I met Franck Thilliez on the set. He looked pleased with what he saw. It’s great to have good feedback from the character creator“, explains Vincent Elbaz in an interview with TF1. It remains to be seen whether the series will appeal to viewers and whether the fans of the French author will be satisfied.
