A 55-year-old man has been charged with the murder of his 95-year-old mother.
A 55-year-old man was indicted and imprisoned Monday in northern Isère for having shot and killed his 95-year-old mother, the Grenoble prosecutor’s office said on Tuesday, confirming information from the Dauphiné Libéré.
The man himself warned the emergency services which, once on the spot, did not manage to resuscitate the old lady, touched three times, according to the same source.
He then explained to the investigators that he wanted to put an end to the suffering of his mother, who had recently had hip surgery.
Arrested on Saturday in Ruy-Montceau (Isère), in the Lyon region, he was indicted on Monday for “intentional homicide on the ascendant”, said Grenoble prosecutor Eric Vaillant.
